It's amazing, all of it. Your singing voice is good, although you sound a bit unsure when you are singing *it can be heard on the voice* or i am just bad at listening. But i love it, it's good :)

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Why thank you mister!

You're not bad at listening. The "uncertain" sound is because of three factors:

1. The main reason is that I'm not yet good at controlling my breath

2. The second is that I'm very close to the mircophone, so you can hear all the small details and nuances of my voice

3. I'm also singing very softly; I sang very early in the morning, and I didn't want to bother the neighbors (I live in a highrise). It still sounds loud enough, because of the mastering. But the soft tone makes it more difficult to keep a steady voice, which probably accounts for some of the uncertain sound.

Thank you for listening and for leaving a review! :D

Whoa, the harp really does make a nice tune for it. It makes it sound like a music that could be in an adventure or something. amazing. Maybe you should try combining the harp and piano sometime?

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

I think I've done it a few times, but it has never been the main focus of a piece. I could probably do that sometime! Not a bad idea at all :)
Thank you for yet another nice review :3

*laying down comfortable, waving the finger around like a composer* Man this is great

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed my little piece :3
Thank you for listening to pretty much everything I put up! It's much appreciated :'D

It's amazing! i'm not surprised though, all your music is amazing! and i dont really care when it's uploaded, as long as you actually upload it so i can listen to it. 5/5 all the way

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Thank you for the lovely comment! It's very encouraging :D
I'll definitely always keep uploading stuff like this :3

It sounds pretty good. heh, the phone qualety makes it sound a bit like you are using a string instrument too :P but it's good. you should try re-recording it sometime. I bet it would make a great difference :)

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Thanks dude :D
Yeah, the phone quality isn't the greatest, for sure xD

I can't re-record it D:
It's an improvisation, after all, meaning I can't play it again (at least not without spending a loooong amount of time transcribing it :p).

Man i love it. Just as i love all your music, it's incredible. one thing i love about piano music, is thatyou can basically improvise all the time and it still sounds good if you hit the right tangents. You're awesome

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Thanks a lot, man :)
Yeah, a nice thing about the piano is that it has such a long range, which means that it works pretty well all by itself, once you learn to play :D

whoa that was... VERY annoying for my ears! why did i even give it 5 stars? oh well, it is Trump after all and he only deserves the worst XD sorry to say it man, i love your music but this here... ouch

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Hahha, indeed. But there is one day in the year when something like this is warranted, and I'm not going to miss it too easily :D

First off, it's amazing! secondly, it's incredible how precicely the name fits the music, i imaging an animation in my head right now with a person actually dancing with a shadow. Not only that but it's great music. Almoast like a ballet. i dont really know what to say, i want to say so much about it but i can only describe it with this right now. Great Job there

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

First off, thank you!

It's great to hear that the name is fitting :D
I actually tried my best to capture the essence of the short story my sister wrote, and dancing with a shadow is definitely something that occurs in one way or another :)

Parts of this piece are pretty much a waltz, but other parts aren't. It's a bit more flexible than that, I guess xD
Thanks again!

Hah! i have always loved this intro! how did you find the chords for it? it's amazing :)

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Oh yeah, since you're from Scandinavia it's no surprise that you know this song! I listened to the piece, and found the chords myself :) Some of them may well be wrong, but it sounds pretty neat either way :p
I'm glad you like it! Thanks for listening :3

That... is improvised?... That is amazing, i love it! although i love most piano/keyboard play, this is some of the BEST! improvised i have ever had the honor of listening to. I play the Pia... Well, i want to play the piano myself, but i only have a cheap keyboard. If i could aford it, i would instantly buy a good piano and play. But as said, i am a big fan of piano play, and you are great at playing it! Please do make more "improvising" it sounds amazing. Also, a good thing i love about a piano is that it's one of the instruments in the World that Express peoples feelings best. As Tom Lehrer once said "Life is like a piano. What you get out of it depends on how you play it"

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

This is improvised indeed :)
But as I wrote in the description, I decided many of the chords before recording, and tried to keep the theme relatively similar all the way through. Thanks a lot for the encouraging words!

Instruments are very expensive indeed. If you want to play the piano though, I'd say that it is easily a worthwhile investment to buy yourself something you can be happy with, and enjoy using regularly. The cheapest keyboard with a full set of 88 "hammer" keys I know, that has a relatively good quality, is the Thomann SP-5500. If you are interested, you can check it out here: http://www.thomann.de/dk/thomann_sp5500.htm

Now, it is not as good as a yamaha digital piano would be, but I assure you that it would give you a great start and you can keep using it to play all kinds of songs, for years upon years. Of course, you would also need to buy something to put the keyboard on, unless you have a table (examplewise: http://www.thomann.de/gb/millenium_ks2010.htm). Together, it's a bit above 3000 DKK, which may sound like a lot. But if you are passionate about music, I recommend that you go for something, whenever you get the chance, so that you can play the pieces that you love, or create compositions of your own :)

As you said, life is like a piano. So why not get one, so you can have not one life, but two? ;)

(No pressure, of course. I just figured you might be interested and maybe want a tip or two :p)

I tried so hard and got so far, but in the end it doesn't even matter!... Oh and also I draw and animate when I feel like it, you should totally go watch it
