First off, it's amazing! secondly, it's incredible how precicely the name fits the music, i imaging an animation in my head right now with a person actually dancing with a shadow. Not only that but it's great music. Almoast like a ballet. i dont really know what to say, i want to say so much about it but i can only describe it with this right now. Great Job there

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

First off, thank you!

It's great to hear that the name is fitting :D
I actually tried my best to capture the essence of the short story my sister wrote, and dancing with a shadow is definitely something that occurs in one way or another :)

Parts of this piece are pretty much a waltz, but other parts aren't. It's a bit more flexible than that, I guess xD
Thanks again!

Hah! i have always loved this intro! how did you find the chords for it? it's amazing :)

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Oh yeah, since you're from Scandinavia it's no surprise that you know this song! I listened to the piece, and found the chords myself :) Some of them may well be wrong, but it sounds pretty neat either way :p
I'm glad you like it! Thanks for listening :3

That... is improvised?... That is amazing, i love it! although i love most piano/keyboard play, this is some of the BEST! improvised i have ever had the honor of listening to. I play the Pia... Well, i want to play the piano myself, but i only have a cheap keyboard. If i could aford it, i would instantly buy a good piano and play. But as said, i am a big fan of piano play, and you are great at playing it! Please do make more "improvising" it sounds amazing. Also, a good thing i love about a piano is that it's one of the instruments in the World that Express peoples feelings best. As Tom Lehrer once said "Life is like a piano. What you get out of it depends on how you play it"

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

This is improvised indeed :)
But as I wrote in the description, I decided many of the chords before recording, and tried to keep the theme relatively similar all the way through. Thanks a lot for the encouraging words!

Instruments are very expensive indeed. If you want to play the piano though, I'd say that it is easily a worthwhile investment to buy yourself something you can be happy with, and enjoy using regularly. The cheapest keyboard with a full set of 88 "hammer" keys I know, that has a relatively good quality, is the Thomann SP-5500. If you are interested, you can check it out here: http://www.thomann.de/dk/thomann_sp5500.htm

Now, it is not as good as a yamaha digital piano would be, but I assure you that it would give you a great start and you can keep using it to play all kinds of songs, for years upon years. Of course, you would also need to buy something to put the keyboard on, unless you have a table (examplewise: http://www.thomann.de/gb/millenium_ks2010.htm). Together, it's a bit above 3000 DKK, which may sound like a lot. But if you are passionate about music, I recommend that you go for something, whenever you get the chance, so that you can play the pieces that you love, or create compositions of your own :)

As you said, life is like a piano. So why not get one, so you can have not one life, but two? ;)

(No pressure, of course. I just figured you might be interested and maybe want a tip or two :p)

The category -Cinematic song- really fits, i like it, i imagined an intro of a movie all the way through or something, it's very good.

I love piano Instrument more than anything else, well guitar too, but my abseloute favorite is the piano. And this piece of music is just wonderfull. It's great to hear that you like my composition, and that it reflects the name, and the emotions associated with it accordingly. Thank you for the compliments, and for leaving a review :D
